Anniversary celebrations!
A huge thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our first anniversary of owning The White Horse on Saturday 7 September. The weather was perfect and your energy, laughter and support made the night truly unforgettable!
A special shout out to Craig, Barbara, and their unflappable team who worked their socks off all night to feed and water us, often in the face of overwhelming demand - you were incredible! It’s wonderful to see so many local faces in the team that Craig’s putting together.
Many of you may have also noticed Eric Strauss, one of our valued US investors, putting in an epic impromptu stint behind the garden bar. You may recall that Eric phoned to buy the whole pub a round last New Year, and it was a pleasure to finally meet him in person.
The ever-popular Village Idiots kept us dancing and singing, and we couldn’t have asked for better entertainment. During a break in their music, it was a honour to be presented with the runners-up certificate for CAMRA’s Pub Saving Award, presented by Lynne Baldwin, their Oxfordshire Area Organiser.
Finally, to our wonderful shareholders, committee members, and everyone who attended the celebration—this event wouldn’t have been possible without YOU. Thank you for your continued support, your belief in The White Horse, and for making our community pub such a special place. Here’s to many more years together!

The work continues
Behind the scenes your committee are still working to ensure the long term viability of the White Horse, and we’re liaising closely with Craig and Barbara to explore options that will benefit the community and safeguard the future for the pub.
