Pumpkin carving!!!

Pumpkins.jpg

It wouldn’t be Halloween without grinning pumpkins and we know you won’t disappoint us with your creativity when it comes to carving them.

So why not buy one of our excellent pumpkins and enter your carving in to our competition – it is really simple and free to enter:

  • register by Saturday, 24th October to be added to the trail map of local pumpkins https://forms.gle/agrdVnRkx2NFcfRm6 (we absolutely won’t share your details publicly, but we’ll highlight your road on a map so that villagers can go on a socially distanced ‘meander’ on Halloween to see them all);

  • upload a picture of your spook-tacular pumpkin to our Facebook group , with your entry nickname and #backthewhitehorse clearly written on paper next to it, and tag us so we see it for judging;

  • on 31st October, display your pumpkin on your doorstep or window so that villagers can see it.

We will be awarding a #backthewhitehorse t-shirt and a sweet treat to the top entry in the following categories

  • Children up to 12 years – FUNNIEST pumpkin

  • Teens 13 to 17 years – CREEPIEST pumpkin

  • Over 18’s – a SHOWSTOPPER pumpkin (extra points if you also show us how you made best use of the pumpkin leftovers)

The rules are simple:

  1. Inappropriately pumpkins will be disqualified.

  2. Only carved pumpkins can be entered into the contest.

  3. The judges’ decision is final.

So what are you waiting for! Buy your pumpkin(s) at our stall on Saturday, 10th October outside the shop – these have been locally grown and generously donated by the Renshaw family with all proceeds going to the #backthewhitehorse campaign.
